Robin Brown

I have been working on my family history for about ten years now. My mom had and interest in genealogy. I guess she passed the bug on to me. This main focus of this blog is the “chain letters” that my grandfather’s brothers and sisters wrote to each other in the 1940s and 1950s. There are hundreds of letters to share. My grandfather was one of 11 children. I am sure I have lots and lots of relatives out there! Maybe some of them will find their way to this blog.

I am a Director of Marketing Communications for the sports medicine division of an orthopedic company. This means I do: graphic design (brochures, ads, t-shirts, booth graphics, catalogs, pricing guides, postcards, etc. etc., etc.), manage ad placement, develop marketing programs, video production, 3D animation, design and manage our tradeshow booths, and assist our sales associates in any way possible and generally make sure our company continues to look better than any other sports med ortho company!

I am one of six kids (second to the oldest), I have three brothers (all younger) and two sisters (one younger, one older). My parents are no longer with us. :( I have three nieces and three nephews. :)

I often attend antique auctions. I look for old board games. I really appreciate the artwork in these old board games. I see alot of movies—usually in the theater. I play golf—not as often as I used to. I love to travel, I try to go one place every year that I have never been before.
