Dear Pauly and All of you—
Am not in a letter writing mood tonight, but the show must go on. The letters were all so interesting and I have re-read them several times. I am taking the liberty of sending this on to Dick and Ann, which will only mean a delay of one or two days and I am sure that none of you will mind.
Shan and Carolyn kept their promise and came over for a visit last weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed having them and as Shan said, we should do this sort of thing more often.
Carolyn your letter was a worthy contribution. Somehow our inlaws all seem so close to us and seems like thy have always been a part of our dear family.
Irene, we are hoping to be with you in April for Jan’s big day. I know what a thrill it is to you, to be making her wedding dress. It would be fun if all of the family could be there wouldn’t it? And if you all cannot make it in April, why not try to be in Anderson in August for Elaine’s wedding?
I will not attempt to get into politics tonight but I certainly have gotten a charge out of the quips exchanged.
Gene dear, the entire family seem to feel that you have made a good move, and I know we all feel as you do, that Esse is guiding you and will always watch over you and your dear little girls. You have been so very brave and you well deserve all the happiness that can come to you.
We just listened to Dave in a broadcast in a Students Discussion, and it was most interesting. He has been on the air several times lately and of course we are avid listeners.
The hour is late, so I shall leave you with dearest love from all of us.
Always,
Lala
